About Project Red Hand
“There will be no humans elsewhere. Only here. Only on this small planet. We are a rare as well as an endangered species. Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.” – Carl Sagan
The short version: We are a team of veterans, human rights activists, and concerned citizens who seek to expose corruption, elevate truth, and increase human solidarity.
Now for the long version. Project Red Hand is the uniting of conscientious thought leaders, whistle blowers, experts, and concerned individuals in response to a world of growing crises and abuses in power. Our oath as public servants is to support and defend all people who are at the mercy of authority through exposing the mechanisms of corruption, manipulation, and wrong doing wherever it exists. We believe that truth deserves it’s own narrative, and through public awareness initiatives, we advocate a critical position toward all who would see it diminished. In doing so, we hope that people like you will also stand up and join us in our efforts.
We however, must concede to our imperfections. We are only humans, equipped with imperfect knowledge as is every human being. Many of us are people who looked down one day to see our hands painted red. This was our red pill, and we are veterans of acknowledging our mistakes. To those of whom we direct our words, we are not your adversaries. We are only a mirror. Through our crimson hands we only seek to show you your reflection. But we are also living proof, that there is life after this, and if you trust us, we will show you a better world.
Those who aren’t veterans recognize their own integral part in these situations around the world. Whether it is through tax dollars that become investments in the arms trade or our purchasing power that results in corporate land grabs overseas. Through money trails and online leaks it is not hard to see that we have a hand in all of this, and it is not too late to expose these throughlines to sunlight.
Through first hand accounts, journalism, satire, inspirations, and a growing spectrum of projects, our goal is to embolden public discourse and show false the modern day propogandic rhetoric. We want to make things like foreign policy accessible, and for those well versed we want to give new data points and consolidated references so there are specifics to challenge and organize around.
Right now, the global citzenry is waking up to each other online. What started as a liberating public forum and free press, has now become a struggle against the largest domestic spying program known to man. But what happened when the original printing press was invented? Old archaic institutions had their foundations crumble with the democratization of information. The could no longer stand on public faith, nor so easily dominate a populace’s perception of reality. There were desperate attempts to hold on and consolidate power, but they knew their time was up. We find ourselves at this precipice once again, on an international level, and we at Project Red Hand reach out to all those who seek to incite change.
” … And the bold, true warriors
Who have hugged Danger in wars
Will turn to those who would be free,
Ashamed of such base company.
‘And that slaughter to the Nation
Shall steam up like inspiration,
Eloquent, oracular ;
A volcano heard afar.
‘And these words shall then become
Like Oppression’s thundered doom
Ringing through each heart and brain.
‘Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number—
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you—
Ye are many—they are few.”
– Percy Shelley, 1819
